Red Bull Racing has recently signed sponsorship deals with a number of US partners, as well as a number of other teams. Formula 1 will do two Grand Prix's in the United States from 2022, so mutual interest is growing. Christian Horner, therefore, believes that the US is a crucial market for the sport at the moment.
At the press conference ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, he says it's good that interest in the US is growing, and that there is more investment. "Our newly formed partnerships are a direct result of the growing popularity of the sport there, and I think talks are underway to host more races there," said the Red Bull team boss.

United States an important market for Red Bull

He continued: "Miami will be a fantastic addition, and for Red Bull, the US is the biggest market in the world. So strategically it's very important to embrace and monitor that market because Formula 1 has never really caught the attention of the American public before. There's a real opportunity now to do that."
He also sees emerging racing talent from the US as an important factor in the long term. If a competitive American driver makes it to Formula 1 and can compete at the front, it will do even more for the popularity of the sport.
