Red Bull Racing's gamble to use the Honda engine in 2019 paid off and it seems that things will be positive again in 2020. According to Andy Cowell, head of engine development at Mercedes, the Japanese company is developing its engine even faster than Ferrari.
"Honda is the manufacturer that has developed the most this year, they are far ahead of Ferrari when it comes to their level of development," Cowell said to Motorsport Magazine.
"Red Bull can make championship-winning cars, Max Verstappen is extraordinary and Honda ... the investment they make is huge, as well as their dedication.
“That can also be seen on the job. You can see that the structure is there and that good choices are being made. It's going to be very exciting!”
Red Bull and Honda will be pleased with their first season working together and will hope that 2020 brings even more success.
