Honda analyzed start with Red Bull and Alpha Tauri: "Working hard to catch up"

Honda met with Red Bull and AlphaTauri last week to discuss the start of the season. The three parties have made joint plans for the remainder of the season.

"In terms of timing, this came out well after the first three races. We talked about it with both teams and shared information and made a plan for the future. Not just for Silverstone, but for the rest of the season. Among other things we looked at how to use the engine for the rest of this year, how we deal with it in terms of wear and tear, use and performance in this race and afterwards. We are working hard in Japan and Milton Keynes to catch up," Honda's technical director Toyoharu Tanabe said at the press conference.

The difference between Red Bull and Mercedes is considerable after the start of the Formula 1 season. The Mercedesses lead the World Championship rankings, while Max Verstappen is in third place.
