Lewis Hamilton will add an extra touch of yellow for his home weekend at Silverstone, with the Ferrari driver set to wear yellow gloves, shoes and a matching cap alongside his iconic yellow helmet design.
The seven-time world champion will contest his second home weekend in Ferrari colours wearing yellow gloves, shoes and a yellow cap, alongside his trademark helmet in the same colour.
Speaking about the design, Hamilton explained that the British Grand Prix felt like the perfect occasion to bring more yellow into his race gear. After returning to his signature yellow helmet upon joining Ferrari, he wanted to extend that colour to other elements, including his gloves and, for the first time, his cap, describing it as a celebration of both his heritage and Ferrari's iconic colours.
"We got the British Grand Prix, and obviously, when I joined Ferrari, I went back to my yellow helmet colour. And so, up until now, I've had a red cap, and I really wanted to find a way of incorporating the yellow back into some of the elements like my gloves and particularly my cap. Which, yes, last year we did a yellow gloves and a yellow boot. But we hadn't done a cap yet. I thought this would be a great celebration of my heritage, which is yellow and it also is the same for Ferrari."

Hamilton rues difficult Austrian GP: 'We just couldn't keep up with everyone today'

Fresh from his first Ferrari victory in Barcelona, the seven-time world champion was unable to produce a similar result in Austria last weekend, as he endured a far more difficult afternoon and had to settle for a points finish.
Hamilton admitted the race was extremely demanding from the very beginning, with a poor launch immediately putting him on the back foot. Although he managed to overtake Charles Leclerc and briefly stay in the fight with George Russell, he explained that tyre degradation quickly became a major issue, with every set losing performance sooner than expected. He also pointed to a lack of straight-line speed compared to Friday's expectations and said the car simply did not have the grip to match the pace of the frontrunners. Despite the disappointing outcome, he praised the team's strategy and pit crew for extracting the maximum possible result.

Looking ahead, Hamilton stressed that Ferrari must continue pushing to introduce its next power unit upgrade as soon as possible. While he said the car does not necessarily feel down on outright power, he believes the biggest deficit lies in energy deployment at the end of the straights, an area where rivals, particularly Mercedes, continue to hold an advantage. He added that understanding and improving that weakness will take time.
