Lewis Hamilton does not ‘expect anything’ in particular from Ferrari in 2026, only for the team to give their all. “We're just going to turn up and give absolutely everything.”
- Lewis Hamilton on 2026When asked about his 2026 expectations, Hamilton said: “I never expect anything, except for us to just give our best, always.
“I know everyone's working as hard as they can in the background to make sure that we start on the right foot next year.
Hamilton’s comments came after a disastrous Brazil GP, where a lap 37 retirement rounded off a miserable double DNF for
Ferrari.
“I have no idea where we will be, but keeping everything crossed, hoping for the best,” Hamilton added.
“I don't ever expect anything, except for we're just going to turn up and give absolutely everything. I'm really hopeful that we'll get a better weekend.”
Hamilton’s race was curtailed from the start after he lost places following turn one contact with Carlos Sainz.
Later in the lap he lost his front wing when he misjudged the distance to Franco Colapinto ahead.

Hopes for a reset in 2026
Despite a promising Sprint pole and victory in just his second outing for the Scuderia in China,
he has failed to finish on the podium in a Grand Prix which has earned him an unwanted record.
Brazil was the third time this season that Ferrari have failed to score a single point in a Grand Prix.
With both titles now out of Ferrari's reach in 2025, it has now been 17 years since the Scuderia last won a world title.
