Hamilton: "It's happened in the past, so I do understand the stewards"

Lewis Hamilton can become world champion for the eighth time on Sunday and in doing so he can definitively break Michael Schumacher 's record. He would be writing history and it remains to be seen if anyone will ever match that.
What does Hamilton think of the fact that Michael Masi felt it necessary to alert drivers to the potential consequences of a crash? "It has happened in the past without the stewards doing anything, so it's fair play that they do it," says the Briton.

Verstappen does not see added value

He himself says it makes no difference to him, as he has no intention of going past the stewards. "I'd rather not see the stewards, not anymore than they want to see me," the Mercedes driver notes.
Max Verstappen, who took a seat next to Hamilton for the press conference, does not see what the added value of the clarification is. "I know the rules. They can add it every weekend," said the Dutchman.
