Lewis Hamilton believes that there will be significant movements in the driver line up by 2021. All but one of the drivers have been confirmed for the 2020 season, Williams still looking for Robert Kubica's replacement.
The 34-year-old has been at Mercedes since 2013 and has enjoyed a highly successful spell so far, winning five world championships.
"In this next year, we will see drivers change, a lot of things happen behind the scenes, every pilot talks to certain teams," Hamilton told Reuters news agency.
"If the 2021 car does what I have seen on paper, I think we will see, perhaps, the best era of the races we have seen in a long time and I want to be part of it."
The season is drawing towards a close as the drivers head to Brazil for the penultimate race of the season this weekend.
