Isack Hadjar has declared he is targeting the Red Bull Racing seat for the 2026 season. The Frenchman also touched on what would it be like to sit alongside Max Verstappen.
After finishing on the podium in the Netherlands, Hadjar explained that while he thinks a promotion to Red Bull Racing would be too early this season, he has that objective for 2026.
"It's always something I have in mind, and there are nine races left to prove I keep doing a good job," he told GPblog.
With the regulation change next season, the Frenchman expects the switch to be"way easier" by then compared to being alongside Max Verstappen already this year.
Hadjar therefore doesn't have any reservations about teaming up with the Dutchman. "I want to drive for the best team, that's all I want really.

"I mean if I happen to be alongside him (Verstappen), I would be adapting to a car that's changing, but at least I’d be there. So I wouldn't be used to something. I can drive the car that's underneath me."

No talks with Marko yet

The Frenchman also explained that he hasn't talked to top advisor Helmut Marko about this topic yet.
"Me personally, I haven’t. But to be honest, I'm not in a rush," the Racing Bulls driver said.

He also added: "If I start getting beaten every race weekend until the end of the year, then yes, it's not going to be good for me."
