Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar is expected to be disqualified from qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix. It comes after his car did not pass the post-session technical inspection. After qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix, his Red Bull failed the technical inspection, with the Frenchman’s floor extended two millimetres too far outward on both the left and right sides of his car. As a result, Hadjar must report to the stewards in Miami on Sunday morning at 07:00 local time [12:00 BST].
With that incident, the
Red Bull Racing driver will most likely be disqualified, losing his P9 starting position for Sunday's Grand Prix. His teammate Max Verstappen had no issues during the post-qualifying technical inspection, and the Dutchman will keep hold of his second-place starting position.
Antonelli impresses during qualifying in Miami
Just in front of Verstappen will be the Mercedes of Kimi Antonelli, who found some super pace at the right time this race weekend to
take pole position.
Charles Leclerc will start from P3 after he and Ferrari looked to be the team to beat earlier on this weekend after
topping the only practice session of the weekend, while Lando Norris will start from fourth after controlling both Sprint Qualifying and
the Sprint Race.
Due to some expected adverse weather in South Florida,
Sunday's Grand Prix will now start three hours earlier after the FIA decided to move the race forward by three hours to avoid potential thunderstorms.
