Proverbial salt in the wounds for the American team after a strong result looked to be on the cards.
Haas have been fined €5,000 for each of their pitstop errors during the Australian Grand Prix.
The incidents seemed to occur on the left side of both cars as wheel nuts during both Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen's pitstops. Up to that point, the Haas cars were fighting with the Red Bull's of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.
In both cases the stewards ruled “the car was released in an unsafe condition in breach of Art. 28.13.c, that the team ordered the car stopped immediately, and that the driver stopped as fast as he safely could.”
