Haas F1's Romain Grosjean doesn't think it's necessary to stay in Barcelona after the Spanish Grand Prix for testing, as the Frenchman thinks the engineers have enough data on the circuit.
All teams will be rolling out upgrades in Spain, which should see some re-shuffling of the pack that is the midfield. Grosjean, who will look to bounce back after a crash in Baku, doesn't think that testing after the Grand Prix will be of vital importance.
"It's not as important as last year, we have enough data from each track and the team is doing well," he told F1i.com.
"Our engineers and mechanics get better by the day, so I don't think it's necessary to come back to Barcelona.
There's new asphalt on the Circuit de Catalunya this year, which means that tyres will behave differently. Grosjean knows that he'll have to plan accordingly.
"I'm happy about the new layer of asphalt, there will be more grip and the laps will only be quicker.
"The question remains how the tyres will behave in this warm weather - we'll find out this weekend.
"The biggest difference will be in turn one and two, we'll go much faster through those now."
