George Russell seems to have driven too fast whilst the yellow flags were flying. After the session, the stewards will decide a final verdict.

After qualification

Nicholas Latifi, Russell's teammate, spun off the track in the second sector. When the Canadian re-entered the track, the yellow flags were still being waved and Russell had to slow down. It is still uncertain if the Brit has held back enough throttle. We'll know more after qualifying.
"I definitely took the throttle off. You can see that from the throttle track at the entrance. Was well under control," said Russell after the incident over the onboard radio.
