Gasly wants to return to Red Bull Racing: 'I hope these results will be rewarded'

The Eifel Grand Prix was another moment for Pierre Gasly to show his quality. The Frenchman is quite constant in 2020 and seems to prove Red Bull Racing wrong. However, is he ready for a return?

In 2019 Gasly was given the chance at Red Bull Racing, but after one year of Toro Rosso, Gasly wasn't ready to make the switch. After six months he was already returned to Toro Rosso and Alexander Albon became his replacement. Where Albon now struggles at Red Bull, Gasly manages to perform week in week out at AlphaTauri.

With a podium and a victory in his pocket, the Frenchman's negotiating position has improved considerably and he hopes that this will be rewarded. ''I don't know when I will hear from Red Bull, but I hope these results will be rewarded in the future. I'm the only driver who has been on the podium twice for this team and together with Sebastian Vettel I'm the only one who has been able to win'', said Gasly in the podcast In the Fast Lane.

''I'm in a good position and just keep pushing hard. I have to constantly show good performance and I am sure that there will be good options for me in the future. A place at Red Bull is not up to me, but I do hope that these strong results will be rewarded'', the French driver concludes.
