Ross Brawn has "plans to rebuild the season" amid coronavirus trouble

Formula 1 was forced to cancel the Australian Grand Prix weekend just hours before cars were due on the track for the first free practice session. The next race is scheduled to be behind closed doors, though that may also be cancelled now. The Chinese Grand Prix faces a delay. Despite an unknown as to when we will go racing again, Ross Brawn says plans are in place.

The Coronavirus outbreak is getting significantly worse day-to-day. As it stands, the world slowly seems to be shutting down. A myriad of sporting events have now been put on hold to reduce large public gatherings. In football, a number of teams are self-isolating.

Nobody really knows what is around the corner, but Formula 1's motorsport boss seems to have a plan prepared.

“I don’t think anyone has experienced [a situation like] this in their lives. I’ve been through a financial crisis, dramas and the scale of this at the moment is massive. We are taking stock of the situation now and what we have learned from this weekend. We have to be realistic about when that can start again, which is what we’re working on at the moment," Brawn told the official Formula 1 website.
