Former Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto has shared his thoughts on the difficult season his former team is currently going through. “I’m suffering too, just like the fans”
- Mattia BinottoSpeaking about Ferrari’s current crisis in an interview with Autosprint, the Italian-Swiss engineer commented: “I’m suffering too, just like the fans. I also feel for all the people working in Maranello — they put their heart into it, and it’s not easy to live with these results.”
Although he expressed sympathy for the tough period his former team is going through, Binotto made it clear that his focus is now on leading his new team back to the top.
“I can say I’m sorry, but on a professional level I’ve turned the page and now have ambitious goals to chase.”

Vasseur knew Ferrari spotlight would be unforgiving
After a first season of adaptation and a strong 2024 campaign — which ended in heartbreak with the Constructors’ title slipping away in the final race to McLaren — 2025 seemed to have all the ingredients for Ferrari to finally reap the rewards of Frederic Vasseur’s work. The Frenchman had been brought in to replace Binotto and inject fresh energy into the Scuderia.
However, despite bold declarations ahead of the season and the arrival of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, Vasseur’s third year at the helm has so far been a difficult one.
The SF-25 has yet to secure a single victory and currently sits third in the Constructors’ standings — behind McLaren,
who sealed back-to-back titles in Singapore, and Mercedes — only eight points clear of Red Bull.
