Villarreal - who has 28 years of automotive experience and multiple leadership roles - has welcomed his own appointment as chief executive. "It is an honour to join the FIA at such a pivotal time. I look forward to working with the members, the president, the leadership team and all staff to achieve our shared goals of reform and growth," the Spaniard revealed on the FIA website.
Malhamé will be made responsible for providing strategic leadership for all human resources at the FIA. "The strength of any thriving organisation lies in its people.
