Verstappen shares new update on his future with Red Bull Racing

A year ago, Verstappen confirmed ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix that he would remain with Red Bull for the 2026 season. That was not the case this time, although he did answer a question about his future at the circuit near Budapest.
"I am feeling good, and you know, from my side, what I'm saying that there is nothing to say is because there's nothing going on.
"So, for me, I'm just focused on trying to get the most out of the car, that's already complicated enough to deal with. That's what I'm just doing. I mean, this team is like a second family to me. I'm just trying to understand our car a bit better and of course get back to winning ways.

"But I mean, we've been close one weekend, I hope, of course, a little bit more often than just one weekend. But like I said before, it's definitely on an upward trend, so that's good to see," the Dutchman concluded to GPblog, among others.
Verstappen also confirmed that the 'Macarena' wing returns this weekend on the RB22.

Hamilton and Antonelli rate their season so far

Answering GPblog's question, Hamilton had a clear verdict about his season so far. "Slightly above average, maybe," he explained.
At the Hungaroring, Antonelli was also asked by this website whether he believes he has been the best driver over the first half of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
"Yeah, easy start," the young Italian said with a slight laugh. He added: "It's so hard to say. I think I've been one of the best, but I wouldn't say I've been the best driver on the grid."
George Russell was also relieved that his driving style did not cause his issues over the recent weeks.
He said: "It's a huge load off my mind, but also while I'm driving, to be honest, because throughout some of Silverstone and then throughout the majority of Friday and Saturday at Spa, I was thinking about how I needed to drive to make the power unit fast in the straight, how I pick up the throttle, the gear usage, how early I am at full throttle.

"The data was telling us that was probably the reason, but it turned out it wasn't the reason. So, all of that effort over the course of three sessions trying to re-optimize my driving around a new technique was kind of for nothing.
