The British driver, alongside the Woking-based outfit, were awarded their respective Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship trophies at the FIA Gala in Tashkent.
Norris, who claimed his maiden Drivers’ Championship ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, was present on stage to receive his prize. The 26-year-old also took time to laud the McLaren team for the exceptional machinery they delivered throughout the campaign.
Zak Brown and Andrea Stella were also present to receive the Constructors’ Championship prize on behalf of the McLaren outfit. The pair lauded the team’s drivers for their exemplary driving, which translated into team success over the course of the season.

Ferrari driver, who was present at the Tashkent ceremony, was full of praise for the Ferrari endurance team, who clinched the Teams’ Championship in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), as well as the top three positions in the Drivers’ standings.

In any case, as Leclerc pursues his ambition of participating in endurance racing, he will be following in the footsteps of Verstappen, who won his first GT3 race at the Nordschleife back in September.
