F1 Today | The Leclerc's make history, Verstappen announces pregnancy

With the last race weekend of the season underway, today has been busy. George Russell and Max Verstappen are still arguing; both Leclerc brothers got to race together, and Penelope Piquet-Kvyat is soon to become a big sister

When they were little kids, both of the Leclerc boys raced karts. Unfortunately, it became too expensive for both of them to race, and Arthur had to stop. That made their breaking history all the sweeter. Today, Charles and Arthur Leclerc made Formula 1 history as the first brothers to drive together in a session. For most of the session, it was touch-and-go as Charles Leclerc was having issues with his car while Arther Leclerc went straight out onto the track. Luckily, they were able to get the eldest car running and into the top slot for the first sessions.

After Max Verstappen received a one-place grid penalty for the Qatar GP, he mentioned that Russell was the reason for it, as he was in the steward's office advocating for it. Verstappen's comment set off an entire avalanche that is still ongoing. Russell spoke his peace on Thursday during the Abu Dhabi GP media day. It was not long after that everyone else also had something to say. Both Red Bull Racing and Mercedes team principals have weighed in, as well as some innocent bystanders on the grid, like Lando Norris and Fernando Alonso.

In a surprise Instagram announcement, Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet posted that they are welcoming their first child together. Announced as a 'mini Verstappen-Piquet', both parents posted the same photo featuring Piquet's baby bump being held by Verstappen. Piquet has a daughter named Penelope with former Red Bull driver Daniel Kvyat. Verstappen is very excited to welcome his first child but has also made sure to call attention to the fact that they already have Penelope by saying he is already a "bonus dad".
