Ralf Schumacher has raised questions about the relationship between Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton, suggesting that if trust is broken, it may be best for both sides to go their separate ways at the end of the 2025 season.

Speaking on Sky Germany’s Boxxengasse Backstage podcast, Schumacher pointed to Hamilton’s criticism of the team and incidents like the non-swap with Charles Leclerc in Baku as signs that Ferrari needs to address internal issues before they become bigger problems.

Schumacher believes the solution is straightforward: Ferrari and Hamilton need to talk openly, clarify expectations, and reset boundaries. He added that if confidence between the driver and team cannot be restored, continuing the partnership would be counterproductive, and parting ways would be the more sensible option.

Simon Lazenby has lifted the lid on a private exchange with Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies, offering insight into the team’s recent turnaround.

Speaking on The F1 Show podcast, the Sky Sports host recalled Mekies telling him in Baku that Red Bull’s improvement hasn’t come from one single breakthrough but from “a lot of little things” that have collectively made the RB21 stronger.

Even so, both McLaren’s leadership and Lando Norris believe the decisive factor was the Monza floor upgrade, which seems to have put Red Bull firmly back in the title conversation.

Yet, as Lazenby stressed, the ultimate proof will come at Singapore, a track that has historically been Verstappen’s stumbling block. If the Dutchman delivers a win there, or at least shows competitive pace, it will cement Red Bull as genuine championship contenders once more.

Ted Kravitz echoed that sentiment, pointing to upcoming venues like Austin and Brazil that play to Red Bull’s strengths. Should the Singapore test be passed, Verstappen’s resurgence could very well carry through to the season’s end.
