F1 LIVE | Second free practice for the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal

The Formula One drivers are getting ready for the second session of the day after a tough first free practice. Once again, the drivers are given an hour to explore the track and work with their team to further improve the car.

At the Canadian Grand Prix almost all eyes will again be on the battle between Red Bull Racing and Ferrari. In the past period it was always the Austrian racing team that pulled the longest straw, but the Italians show weekly that they have the potential to take victories again.

Charles Leclerc, for example, has shown during qualifying that he is often faster over one lap. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, however, often manage to get more out of their car in the race, which is why the Monegask is currently trailing and is in third place in the world championship.

Besides Ferrari and Red Bull, Mercedes is also among the contenders for a podium spot. The British formation still saw George Russell finish inside the top five every race, while Lewis Hamilton's performance was shaky. Mercedes will be hoping that results continue to improve in Canada, although the challenge will be great in this regard.
