The final starting grid for the Brazilian Grand Prix has been announced. After five crashes in qualifying, Carlos Sainz will start from the pitlane due to an engine change, and lex Albon will miss out entirely as his car could not be repaired in time.
Max Verstappen qualified 12th, but will start in 17th place due to a five-spot grid penalty, while Lando Norris will start on pole position. Albon's seventh spot will remain empty. Franco Colapinto, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll still hope to start from the grid.
Norris struggled during qualifying, but did eventually finish fastest when it really mattered. Behind Norris are George Russell and the surprising Yuki Tsunoda, while Lewis Hamiton will start in P14 after a Q1 exit at Interlagos.
