According to Jack Plooij, Oscar Piastri was the standout driver of the first half of the Formula 1 season. However, the analyst noted that he feels the Australian lacks one particular quality as the current world championship leader. Olav Mol was quick to suggest a solution.
The two analysts recently discussed their top five drivers of the first half of the season. Piastri was at the top of Plooij's list. "I think Piastri is really fantastic," Plooij started on the YouTube channel of Ziggo Sport."I had just hoped that he would maybe use the team radio more often to assert himself, to show 'I'm setting the rules here'. That may come in the second half of the season, and maybe we will see that."

Mol offers a tip to Piastri and his manager

Mol had a suggestion for the manager of the championship leader: Mark Webber. "I think Webber needs to teach him that. Webber was of course pretty tough," interrupted the Formula 1 commentator.
Previously, Plooij had already said that Gabriel Bortoleto had a better first half of the season than Max Verstappen. Mol did not completely agree with this, as he had placed the Dutchman in first place in his top five drivers of the first half of the season.
