Doubts about Mekies' particular skill: 'Red Bull will miss that without Horner'

Laurent Mekies is known as a very friendly and calm person, with a background in engineering. A significant change to his predecessor Christian Horner, who was sidelined by Red Bull Racing as team principal.
When Sky Sports' Ted Kravitz compares Mekies to Horner, he concludes that Frenchman lacks a quality that the team's from team principal does have. One that could come in handy.
"What Red Bull won't have, if it's not going particularly well, is a racer with the experience that Christian Horner has," Kravitz began.
According to the trackside reporter, Mekies also lacks the persuasive power that Horner has. "Remember the Renault years, when they weren't winning because the Renault engine wasn't good enough? He pressured Renault, he got on Cyril Abiteboul's case, got on Renault's back, and then they won again.”

'Horner will be missed by Red Bull'

Apparently, Kravitz also doesn't believe that Mekies will manage to rebuild Red Bull to the powerhouse it was after the team has been in a downward spiral for the last eighteen months.
“When the empires do crumble, Horner knows how to build it up again, and that's what Red Bull will miss," he concluded.
