Charles Leclerc says that he wants to battle with his teammate Sebastian Vettel for the title in 2020 following a successful first year with the Italian team. Leclerc won twice in 2019, in Belgium and Italy, and showed that he has the talent to go all the way in the next few seasons.
The Monegasque driver outscored his far more experienced teamamte in just his second year of F1 and is preparing to develop his skills even further with the team.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “To be honest I thought it would have been a very hard season for me, especially with Sebastian Vettel in my team, someone who won the title four times.
“It was a big challenge but I saw it like a big opportunity for me and I took it.
“My relationship with Seb is good even though people don’t believe me, my dream is to fight next year for the title, but not with Hamilton or Verstappen but with Vettel, this would mean that Ferrari would be the best car.”
