British GP chaos, three drivers out of contention and tyre gambles go awry!

At the end of the formation lap Charles Leclerc and George Russell took to the pits to switch their inters for hard tyres, and Isack Hadjar and Gabriel Bortoleto also pitted for mediums. Franco Colapinto drove his car back to the garage to never be seen again.

Liam Lawson hit Esteban Ocon coming out of Turn 5 and spun himself out into the barriers eventually retiring from the race.

Gabriel Bortoleto, when the race resumed on the third lap, spun coming out of Turn 1 destroying his rear wing and thus ending his race as well.
