Valtteri Bottas has admitted the team only got into a rhythm this morning as he qualified second for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Finn beat his teammate, Lewis Hamilton but was unable to displace pole-sitter Max Verstappen as the Dutchman claimed his first-ever pole position. Bottas' time of 1:14.590 was enough for a front-row start.
After qualifying, Bottas admitted the team only got into a rhythm this morning but was satisfied with the time he set.
"We've been chasing it pretty much all weekend since missing practice one, but we really only started to get into the rhythm of it this morning.
"It was getting better and better in qualifying and I was pleased with the time in the end. I'm still going to fight for the win and with this support, that could make the difference."
