Valtteri Bottas must pay a 1,000-euro fine to the FIA. The Finn drove considerably too fast in the pit lane during the first free practice for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Penalty for Bottas

At the Circuit de Monaco, the speed limit in the pit lane is lower than normal. Formula 1 drivers are not allowed to go faster than 60 kilometres per hour. Bottas drove almost 75 kilometres per hour in the pits at one point, exceeding the limit by just under 15 kilometres per hour. That landed the Finn a €1,000 fine.
