Binotto sees problem for Ferrari this season: 'Always a factor'

Mattia Binotto was very disappointed with the performance of the Italian team after the race in Azerbaijan. With the retirement of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the team could already start focusing on the next Grand Prix, so the team boss knows that there is still work to be done.
Where Leclerc at the beginning of the season immediately took the lead in the world championship, the roles are now reversed. The Monegasque saw that Max Verstappen was doing a lot better over the last few race weekends and that the Dutchman was now well ahead in the world championship.

Binotto puts Ferrari on edge

For Ferrari, therefore, there is nothing left to do but focus on itself and hope that the competitor will leave points in the course of the race year. Binotto is in conversation with Formula1.com very realistic and indicates in the interview that Ferrari must work hard in the coming months to solve the problems.
"Reliability is always a factor, a key factor in the [championship] battle along with performance," Binotto stated. "I think as a team we pushed certainly a lot through the winter last year to develop the car. We proved that we are not yet fully reliable."
