Binotto: "Red Bull brought upgrades and are showing they are strong"

Ferrari is making a very strong impression so far ahead of the new Formula One season. For the competition, that is enough reason to point to the Italian racing stable as the favorite, but Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto is tempering expectations.

Binotto therefore believes that his team should not cheer too early, after all, the season has yet to begin. "We are aware of the value of our opponents," he said in conversation with Sky Italia. "They are strong and they proved that today. They say we are the favorites, but we are not."

In doing so, he points to Red Bull Racing, which came out with an update to the RB18 on Saturday. "The champions of last year are Red Bull. Today they brought developments and show they are strong," Binotto notes.

He therefore expects the competition to be strong. Nevertheless, the mood is good at Ferrari, as Binotto also sees that the fundamentals are good. Nevertheless, he denies that Ferrari is the favorite. "There will be three teams close together, but they are the favorites. We are the outsiders," said the Ferrari team boss.
