Ahead of the British Grand Prix, Alpine joined forces with Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm, taking advantage of the close proximity between the farm and the French team's headquarters in Enstone to promote British farming. Alpine's collaboration with Diddly Squat Farm is not a new one, having already celebrated podium finishes with Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone beer following the team's top-three results in Monaco in 2023 and São Paulo in 2024. For the British Grand Prix weekend, the partnership has been expanded, with Diddly Squat Farm set to provide a variety of locally sourced food, drinks, condiments and fresh produce for both the team and its drivers
Alpine's Managing Director Steve Nielsen commented:
“We are delighted to rely on Diddly Squat Farm to supply us with local farm food this weekend at Silverstone. As a team, we have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Jeremy Clarkson who has been very supportive of us for several years. It's great that we are able to help promote British farming and highlight the importance of farming to the local area. “Our base at Enstone is surrounded by farms so we are well aware and full of admiration for what farmers do in bringing food to our tables. It's a special occasion to bring local food to Silverstone to keep our team and drivers well fed this weekend so thanks to Jeremy and the team at Diddly Squat Farm for their on-going support.”
Lisa Hogan, co-founder of the Diddly Squat Farm Shop, said the partnership with Alpine was particularly meaningful given the team's local roots and the significance of the British Grand Prix on the sporting calendar. She expressed her hope that the team and its drivers would enjoy the farm's locally sourced produce throughout the weekend, while also wishing Alpine a successful home race at Silverstone.
“It is with great pleasure to team up with our local Formula One team at Silverstone this weekend. The British Grand Prix is one of the highlights on the British sporting calendar so to have Diddly Squat Farm Shop associated, and to play a small role, with the team this weekend is certainly quite special. We hope the team and its drivers enjoy some of our local produce and wish them a successful weekend on track.”
Clarkson issues heartfelt plea after revealing cancer diagnosis
Recently, the former Top Gear host has shared a positive update just a few days after revealing that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. In a video posted on his Instagram profile, the British TV personality
said he is doing well and explained that the disease was caught at an early stage thanks to a routine blood test, allowing doctors to begin treatment before it could progress.
Using his own experience to encourage others to act, Clarkson urged men not to avoid getting tested, stressing that screening now only requires a blood test. He also suggested that anyone refused a test because they show no symptoms or are not considered high risk should insist on being checked regardless, highlighting that thousands of men in the UK die from prostate cancer every year and encouraging people not to delay getting tested.
