Alonso one step closer to testing for McLaren?

Fernando Alonso has been spotted at McLarens Woking base, creating speculation that he could be involved in the team's winter testing.

With winter testing just around the corner, the fact that Alonso is at the base could suggest that he will be involved. The testing in Barcelona is due to start on the 18th of February and McLaren will reveal their car for the 2019 season on the 14th. This gives the team one month before the start of the 2019 season on the 17th of March in Australia.

Alonso fans saw via his Instagram story that he was at the McLaren base and having previously saying that he could be involved in testing, these rumours seem to be a step closer to being true.

With Alonso keeping a strong link with the McLaren team, could he possibly return to the team in 2020 for one last attempt for a third world title?
