Fernando Alonso has expressed confidence that the issues with the Aston Martin AMR26 car can be fixed soon. “I believe there is a solution in place.”
- Fernando AlonsoSpeaking to GPblog during the ongoing Bahrain testing, Alonso highlighted how the Aston Martin team continues to work to address every problem it has encountered with its 2026 challenger, before outlining a timeline he believes will see the issues resolved.
“I think everything can be fixed for sure, both in the short and medium term. I don’t believe there is anything impossible to fix. We will try to address everything we can before Australia, and after that, we will aim to resolve as many issues as possible in the first couple of races, before it’s too late in the championship. I believe there is a solution in place,” Alonso said.

AMR26 bring out the first red flag of the day, with Lance Stroll appearing to lose drive during his push lap in the afternoon.Alonso warns driver skill matters less under new regulations

However, the veteran Spaniard stressed that, irrespective of the demands of the regulations, drivers will continue to push to the maximum during Grands Prix.
