The Scuderia Ferrari outfit has been hit with an early hiccup on Day 2 of its running at the Bahrain International Circuit.
The Italian outfit, which enjoyed a largely flawless Day 1 with Charles Leclerc behind the wheel, has seen Day 2 fail to unfold as envisaged.
GPblog understands the Ferrari team is nursing a technical issue, which has now confined Hamilton to the garage. We can also confirm that this problem is not related to the team’s power unit.

Prior to the issue, Hamilton had completed five laps, with his best lap time being 1:39.670, placing him 10th on the timing sheet.

Hamilton makes bold Ferrari pledge

The seven-time world champion, who endured a challenging debut season at the Italian outfit following his seismic switch from Mercedes, reiterated his confidence in achieving success with Ferrari.
Speaking to GPblog during the Bahrain test, Hamilton also admitted he had anticipated that success wouldn’t be achieved overnight—a factor he cited as key in his decision to join the Prancing Horse.
