Alex Albon has an interesting theory about what could happen during the Monaco Grand Prix. For the first time in the race's history, a mandatory two-stop strategy has been implemented, which Albon believes will shake things up.
Albon qualified P10, while his teammate Carlos Sainz qualified 11th for the Grand Prix. This prompted a question during the driver's parade about whether Williams would be the first team to attempt a crazy strategy.

What will the teams do?

Albon said, "No, Liam would maybe be the one that can create a lot. I think he needs to protect Isaac, and that will maybe make the race a bit more entertaining for everyone else.”
Isack Hadjar is starting from P5, the highest a rookie has started in Monaco since Lewis Hamilton in 2007.
“There's going to be almost mini groups or race cars together, and you've got a lot of drivers out of position protecting teammates who are much further in front.”
He admits, “It's gonna be a little bit interesting. I think a little bit random. I don't think there's a real strategy. It's plan A to plan F, and you just have to stay adaptable to whatever happens.”

The unpredictability is also one of the reasons the drivers have to stay ready for anything.
"You have to stay pretty focused around here. All this goes away once you're driving. For us, what's tricky is the tyres require a lot of management."
Albon concluded, "When you're driving that slowly, just to stay focused in that moment, you need to be on top of everything. The pace can change a lot when drivers are managing and then get told to push. You can go two to three seconds a lap quicker. So your focus needs to always be there."
