A brand-new Michael Schumacher-inspired movie trailer has been released on YouTube, receiving various reactions from Formula 1 fans. A full-length movie has not yet been made, but a trailer has been created by a group from Bulgaria who want to make said feature film about the seven-time World Champion.
Schumacher is widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history, but despite various documentaries about the German, a true feature film has yet to be made, and this is something the group hopes to change.
The trailer is titled ‘The Kaiser’. The short film has been developed as a pilot project for a future full-length movie, combining real historical events with a fictional storyline, according to the makers.

The pilot trailer for the intended feature film has now been shared on YouTube, which has sparked mixed reactions from
F1 fans.
Some have praised the intention to make a film about Schumacher and its portrayal, but there has been criticism of the title of the trailer, with some pointing out that the seven-time Formula 1 world champion is not commonly referred to as ‘The Kaiser’.
Despite mixed reactions to the title and notable Bulgarian accents from the lead actors, the makers are moving forward with their project and have launched a crowdfunding campaign, looking to raise 100,000 euros so that a full-length feature film can be made.
