According to Alonso, you should never underestimate Verstappen in Formula 1

The Formula 1 season of 2025 is not going as Red Bull Racing had hoped it would. The Austrian team is trailing behind the competition, and only through Verstappen's talent are they still able to score points consistently.

The Dutchman already stated to the media in Spain that he does not really see himself as a title candidate. But according to Alonso, we should certainly not write him off yet.

"He always has his best season so far - every year," Alonso told DAZN. "Last year he did not have the most dominant car, yet he won the championship with two or three races to go. This year, he doesn’t even have the second or third-best car, and he’s still fighting."
