Sergio Perez started from the pitlane after an overnight engine change following a poor qualifying result. The Mexican drove through the field and managed to score points despite taking an extra pit stop at the start.

Tough weekend

The Mexican didn't get off to a good start, and a difficult Saturday meant that the second Red Bull driver was unable to support Max Verstappen at the front of the field with both Mercedes. But Perez impressed in the Dutch Grand Prix and was voted driver of the day. Perez looks at the positives with his Sky Sports interview.

"We managed to minimise the damage, let's put it that way. We have a new engine, we have taken that penalty. From now on, it's looking forward and to come back strong in Monza. It was a shame at the end, I think P6 was possible. When we touched with Norris, I had some damage on the right-hand side of the car," Perez said.

Pundits suggested that the Zandvoort circuit was a tricky track to overtake on. Whilst that seemed to be the case up the grid, Perez proved them wrong but explains how risky it was.

"Every overtake was on the limit. So risky. Following was really hard, I gave it all," Perez added.
