Red Bull invited by stewards in Hungary for revision of Silverstone crash

After the crash between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at Copse Corner, during the last Grand Prix at Silverstone, Christian Horner and Dr. Helmut Marko of Red Bull Racing already indicated that they would not give up. That the Milton Keynes-based team will not give up now seems to be true, as several British media outlets have indicated through FIA documentation that Red Bull Racing will indeed appeal.

Video conference

The FIA has invited delegates from Red Bull Racing and Mercedes to the stewards' room in Hungary for a digital visit, as the meeting will be held by conference call. On the Thursday before the race, the high-profile collision between Hamilton and Verstappen will be watched again.

Visual material

However, the chances of anything tangible coming out for Verstappen or Red Bull Racing are slim, as similar cases in the past have shown. Red Bull Racing will be given the opportunity to present new evidence that was not available to the stewards at the time of the race. If this evidence is deemed good enough, there is a chance that Hamilton's penalty could be changed.
