Mick Schumacher is preparing for the fifth Formula 1 race of his career this weekend. It will be his first F1 race on the challenging Monaco circuit, and Ralf Schumacher knows that it's a track like no other.

Schumacher drove several races in Monaco between 1997 and 2007. The former driver achieved his best result in 2002, when he finished third on the podium. At that time he only had to let go David Coulthard and his brother Michael Schumacher.

"I think Mick has done everything right so far. But we have to be patient, his car isn't getting any better," Schumacher stated in conversation Speedweek.com about the Haas driver. "It will be very important for Mick to go into the weekend carefully and not have any accidents. If he keeps his style there and improves steadily over the course of the weekend, then he could even cause a surprise."

However, he knows that a mistake by Mick could be fatal. "What I'm particularly pleased about is that the annoying problem of track limits won't be there in Monaco. Because if you think you have to overdo it there, you quickly end up with a broken car. The big challenge of Monaco is not to make a mistake."
