The five-member Formula 1 jury has once again shed its light on the past Grand Prix and awarded the drivers a mark. With one Grand Prix to go there is a new leader in the Power Rankings.

Russell and Perez almost perfect

There is a shared first place in the Power Rankings this week and it should come as no surprise that they are George Russell and Sergio Perez. Russell's strong substitution to Mercedes and Perez's sensational victory made a big impression. Both drivers don't get a perfect score, but can still be very happy with a 9.8 for their performance.

Carlos Sainz drove another strong race in Bahrain and his fourth place in the race is rewarded with an 8.8 and third place in the Power Rankings. In addition, he made a place in the general classification and is now in fourth place. The top five is complete with the two other podium finishers of the race; Esteban Ocon (8.6) and Lance Stroll (8.2). Debutants Jack Aitken and Pietro Fittipaldi both scored a neat 6.6 and are now eleventh in the results.

New leader in the standings

Max Verstappen's race came to an end after no more than a few turns, but the jury rewarded his performance with a neat 7.5, good for seventh place in the standings. Due to the absence of Lewis Hamilton, this score ensures that the Dutchman takes over the lead in the general classification. Verstappen now has a 1.7 point lead over the world champion.

Pierre Gasly is third in the general classification, despite a disappointing score of 6.6 for the last race. Behind Sainz, Daniel Ricciardo completes the top five. See the full Power Rankings on Formula 1.
