Ferrari had one of the worst qualifying sessions they have had in recent times. The team was lucky that they were to get to Q2 with both cars. Charles Leclerc will start from 13th place and Sebastian Vettel will start from 14th place.

Lack of confidence

"We are in a difficult situation and we are not happy. Nobody is us and the fans. We have to understand it and look ahead. The drivers didn't have confidence", opens Ferrari-team boss Mattia Binotto disappointed at Sky Sport Italia.

"Our situation on Friday endangered qualifying. We need patience. We are now focusing on 2021 and 2022 and building for the future. We are still trying to have a good season, especially in Italy", continued Binotto. Ferrari will have three home races in Italy this season, with the team's 1000th Grand Prix celebrations at the Mugello circuit in a two weeks time as the big highlight of the season.

Ferrari not giving up

"The car is the same as the last races and the problem is limited to this weekend. We have chosen to drive with more downforce, also thinking about a possible wet race for tomorrow. The disappointment is great, but we need to find out what happened. Tomorrow is the race. We don't give up", the Italian concludes.
