Many successes for MP Motorsport in Formula 2 and Formula 3

In addition to Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3 are also driving this weekend at the circuit in Barcelona. In those two junior classes there will also be a Dutch team, namely MP Motorsport. That team has had several successes in Spain and they have performed particularly well in the F2.

The good performance started already on Saturday. In an exciting race in Formula 2, Nobuharu Matsushita took victory from eighteenth place. A perfectly timed safety car enabled the Japanese to change tyres and return to the front of the field. From there it was clear that Matsushita was going to win the feature race.

Sunday double success

On Sunday there was double success for the Dutch team. In Formula 3 Richard Verschoor managed to achieve a great fourth place, behind Oscar Piastri, Alex Peroni and Matteo Nannini. After the F3 it was F2's turn to do the sprint race. There it was the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich who was great from the second starting spot.

From there it was an easy race for the driver of MP Motorsport. He managed to increase his gap to second place every lap and in the end he had a lead of almost ten seconds on second place, Luca Ghiotto. The Dutch team has thus achieved two victories in F2 and is therefore earning good points for the constructors' championship.
