Sergio Perez tested positive for the coronavirus and that doesn't seem quite a surprise. ESPN is able to report that after the Hungarian Grand Prix the Mexican did not follow the guidelines concerning the coronavirus.
After the Hungarian Grand Prix the drivers and teams finally had no racing for a week. A nice feeling of course, but despite a week off the teams and drivers have to stay in their bubble. According to ESPN the Mexican didn't stick to this.

Perez himself the cause?

So it is confirmed that Perez flew back to Mexico after the Hungarian Grand Prix to be there with his family. This has become known on social media, where Perez can be seen with his family and friends. Besides his friends and family, also an unknown person will be photographed with Perez when he finds out who it is.
Perez's wife, Carola Martinez, took another photo on July 24th, saying that they are on holiday together in Italy, which indicates that the Mexican has visited several places. However, that post can no longer be found, because it has been removed by his wife after Perez's positive test.
