Live | Qualification at the 2020 F1 Austrian Grand Prix

Saturday at 14:00hrs twenty drivers will go head to head to battle it out for pole position at the first Austrian Grand Prix. Mercedes seems to be in the best position for now, but Red Bull Racing is a lot closer than on Friday. Who knows who will have the fastest lap this afternoon on the Red Bull Ring!

Mercedes managed to dominate in all free practice sessions. The Brackley-based outlet is still supreme this weekend, but the question is whether Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas will be able to do the same in qualifying.

The biggest threat comes from Red Bull and especially Max Verstappen who has been successful here in the past few years. Red Bull were about half a second behind Mercedes on Friday, today that has been reduced to two tenths. Will we see an RB16 starting on the front row tomorrow?

In any case, Ferrari doesn't seem to be competing for praise. The Italian team has even been overtaken by Racing Point. Behind that, Renault seem to be the biggest contender for Q3, but AlphaTauri and McLaren are also aiming for a place in the top ten.

Incidentally, qualifying doesn't say everything in Austria, as in the past six years the driver who started the race on pole has only won twice.
