Ferrari supports the decision to cancel Australian Grand Prix

Ferrari fully supports the decision to cancel the Australian Grand Prix as a result of the coronavirus risk in the paddock. They join with Mercedes, Renault and McLaren who all wanted the event to be postponed.

Not surprisingly, these teams were in favour of cancelling the Australian GP. These teams have a large company behind them and can handle some financial setbacks better than other teams.

Cancelling an event like this is not only financially disadvantageous for the organising parties but also for the teams. However, health and safety is paramount. Nobody can ignore that.

With a press statement, the Scuderia said: "The safety of all team members is our number one priority, especially as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to evolve rapidly."
