Charles Leclerc maybe one of the top drivers in the field but the Ferrari driver has admitted that it took a while for him to learn his way around an F1 steering wheel.

Leclerc had a standout year during his maiden season with Ferrari, winning two races including a famous win at Monza, as well as topping the qualifying charts. He'll head into 2020 on a level playing field with his teammate, Sebastian Vettel following his impressive displays.

The Monegasque may make it look easy on the track but he's revealed adapting to a Formula 1 wheel was certainly a learning experience for him

"I had a book of about 70 or 80 pages that I had to learn when I entered Formula 1. But I'm very bad at learning things," he explained at the Autosport International Show.

"So actually I have I learned more about the simulator that took me hours and hours.

"It feels more natural then before, because what is on the steering wheel is used during qualifying or during the race and that helps a lot in performance."
