Eric Boullier becomes French GP boss and looks to solve congestion issues

Former Renault and McLaren boss Eric Boullier has a new job as managing director of the French Grand Prix - and he has got to work immediately by trying to sort out the congestion issues around the track. If you've ever been to a sporting event of some size, you might know the difficulty getting in or out with traffic and the French GP suffers massively from this.

The circuit is only accessible by one road, which isn't ideal when potentially hundreds of thousands of people could be turning up to watch.

In a press release, Boullier revealed plans to help ease the congestion: "Free shuttles from 5 towns close to the Paul Ricard circuit with an additional stop at the La Ciotat SNCF railway station;
