Toro Rosso were one of the standout performers during FP1 and FP2 of the Mexican Grand Prix weekend but Daniil Kvyat doesn't want the team to rest on their laurels as they look to maximise their results.

Kvyat and Pierre Gasly secured four top-ten finishes during the opening two sessions of the weekend and they lead the midfield battle going into the final practice session before qualifying on Saturday evening.

Kvyat's best time of 1:17.747 was good enough for P6 in FP2 but the Russian doesn't want the team to sit back and relax as he targets a good result this weekend.

“It was a positive Friday. We completed our programme for both the sessions so now we have plenty of data to analyse to be ready for Qualifying and the Race," Kvyat told the Toro Rosso website.

"Today the feeling with the car was good but we need to keep on working to understand the track better and maximize our performance for the rest of the weekend.”
