Haas ready to take "bigger risks"

Guenther Steiner has hinted at a big change at Haas admitting "It's time to take a bigger risk". The futures of their current driver lineup is still up in the air.

After an impressive 2018 season which saw Haas finish fifth in the Constructors' Championship, they have had a controversial time this year. Results on the track have not been up to scratch and their drivers have clashed on several occasions, whilst off the track, they have had to deal with the controversy surrounding their title sponsor Rich Energy.

With Esteban Ocon and Nico Hulkenberg linked to a drive at Haas, is Guenther Steiner set to make a change?

“It’s a time to take a bigger risk if you have less to lose,” he told the Formula 1 website.

"Every situation is different. You need to move accordingly. It could be anything, I don’t want to jump to a conclusion, just because we did it once, this is how we are now doing it for the rest of our life.”

Steiner also insisted drivers still want to race for Haas, adding: “People are still interested in driving here, because they see as a team, we are not weak."
